The last part of the story has been referred to as "The return to the Netherworld" up until now. After considering the outcomes for this part of the story, I have decided to rename it "Watch me return to the netherworld" : The outcome is a beanbag/pouffe style seat which I intend to make up from small, stuffed, circular lanterns, and above that will hang 4 small lanterns with UV lights inside. The name is essentially the ghost asking the person to sit in the seat and look up to the lanterns to watch the ghost return. This is based on the tradition in the festival to light lanterns and candles and send them down rivers or up into the sky as a way to send the ghosts off with good wishes and blessings.

Things to consider for the seat:

How many small lanterns will I need to make up a seat? - ??????????

How small is small? - Bigger than a football.

What stuffing is practical for a seat? - beans/bean bag? foam? pillow? padding?

Patterend Lanterns? - Id like the lanterns making up the seat to be seen as a continuation of the huge lantern in part 3. This seat isn't going to be quite as sculptural as the other outcomes but Id like to focus that on the 4 hanging lanterns. Instead Id like to focus on the pattern, consider experimenting with power knit to test out patterned samples. Use photographs to digitally transfer images.

Things to consider for the lanterns:

Using dark yarn with pops of UV neon yarn - Mountains - diamond shape.

The mountains are diamond shaped but need to be manipulated and layered to create a lotus shape, these are traditional in the festival and I would really like to explore more with manipulating the sculptural shapes.
