The filming of the CactEye Chair has been really effective in translating a slower, sensory version of the chair. The UV yarn has picked up well on camera, smaller details and close up shots are really beautiful. We successfully captured movement within the chair and used the lighting effectively, creating monster shadows and an idea of the cacti being alive.

I was very luckily given the rights by TOR and Clozee to use the remix of Two Suns. I had found this track earlier on in the year and something about it really stuck with me. The Asian influence really tied in with the visual influences. Details like the jingle of bells which is featured throughout the festival in Thailand, and with a slow beginning progressing into a louder, more exciting middle, it works well with the concept of the project and the journey the ghosts take.

I was hoping for a film with the lantern and the chair however, to avoid rushing the lantern to have it ready for Jonathon's availability in the middle of June, I have decided to make the first half of the film focused on The CactEye Chair, and I will shoot the lantern in July when the MA exhibition comes down and we have the use of an empty gallery.
